Check of a regulator of tension on the car

For check of a regulator of tension it is necessary to have the voltmeter of a direct current with a scale to 15 — 30 In, than a class of accuracy is not worse 1,0.

Check of a regulator of the tension established on the car, see off in the following order:

- start the engine and let's to it work about 15 mines on average turns;

- by means of the voltmeter measure tension between the plug "30" (the plug of a thick red cable on the generator) and "mass" of the generator;

- tension should be between 13,3 — 14,6 Century.

In case it is observed systematic недозаряд or the recharge of AB and adjustable tension does not keep within the specified limits, it is necessary to replace a regulator of tension. Besides it is possible to check a condition of coal brushes.

Check of a condition of coal brushes

Though this work can be carried out and at the established generator, it is recommended to remove the generator from the car nevertheless.

Check of a condition of coal brushes carry out in the following order:

- unscrew bolts 9 (see fig. 334 ) fastenings of a casing and remove a casing;

- unscrew two bolts of the 7th fastening of a regulator of tension 6;

- carefully take out from the generator case a tension regulator assembled with a shchetkoderzhatel and generator brushes (fig. 336) ;

- measure length of coal brushes acting from a shchetkoderzhatel. If their length it is necessary to replace less than 5 mm, brushes.

The new coal brush has length of 13 mm, thus, it is possible to learn, coal brushes were how strongly erased. Replacement of old coal brushes by the new means replacement of all regulator of tension assembled with brushes and a shchetkoderzhatel as coal brushes are soldered in in a shchetkoderzhatel. However at desire it is possible to address on HUNDRED Bosch for replacement of only coal brushes. As in the car Bosch details are established, this operation should not deliver any problems.

Trip with the faulty generator

If during a trip it was found out that the generator any more does not charge AB (the control lamp of the category AB on a guard of devices constantly burns), it means that the generator does not develop tension, or the chain of a control lamp of the category is faulty, or the electronic voltmeter is faulty. During daylight hours it is possible to go within several hours (provided that AB in a good condition).

In this situation carry out the following recommendations:

- whenever possible do not switch off the engine as at its restart a large amount of energy is spent;

- if nevertheless it is necessary to switch off the engine, put the car under a bias that there was a possibility to start the engine, pushing the car under a bias;

- switch off heating of back glass, a radio tape recorder and an oven;

- if there is a weak rain, put screen wipers on a mode of faltering inclusion;

- if it is necessary to go to a night-time, include only a passing beam.
