Headlights are regulated by rotation of adjusting screws which turn an optical element in the vertical and horizontal planes. On HUNDRED exact adjustment of headlights with use of the special measuring device is made and only in urgent cases it is possible to make rough adjustment independently.

Rough adjustment of headlights carry out in the following order:

- put completely filled and equipped car on an equal horizontal platform in 5 m from a smooth wall or any screen so that the car axis to it was perpendicular;

- make sure that pressure in tires corresponds to norm;

- rock the car sideways to establish springs of suspension brackets;

- measure distance between the earth and the centers of headlights. Put these points on a wall and draw through them a straight line;

- draw on a wall the second straight line, below the first on 5 cm;

- draw on a wall precisely on the car center a vertical straight line;

- measure distance between the middle of the car and the centers of headlights (right and left). Note daggers on a wall this distance postponed from the vertical line to the right and to the left, on the first straight line (top);

- precisely in 5 cm under these daggers (on the bottom straight line) there should be points of a bend of a beam of a passing beam of headlights. (If so, rough adjustment it is not necessary to carry out it);

- be convinced that headlights are in a starting position (on the switch "0");

- consistently, at first for the right headlight (the left is closed by a piece of a matter or a dark matter), and then for left (the right is closed) adjust screws light bunches of headlights;

- access to adjusting screws opens from a motor compartment;

- include ignition and a passing beam of headlights;

- the adjusting screw of vertical development (on outer side of a headlight) establish the bottom border of a beam of a passing beam on the bottom horizontal straight line;

- the adjusting screw of horizontal development (on headlight inside) establish a point of a bend of border of a passing beam on the corresponding dagger;

- thus the correct adjustment of a driving beam of headlights is reached automatically.

Good advice

Right after exact adjustment of headlights on HUNDRED (by means of the special device), mark drawing of beams of the adjusted headlights on a door of the garage, having precisely put the car at distance of five meters from a garage door so that the axis of the car was perpendicular it. The distance should be precisely measured, instead of is estimated approximately. Include a driving beam of headlights and mark with daggers on a garage door the centers of beams of light of both headlights.
