Details of shatunno-piston group are shown on fig. 421 . The section of the piston of the diesel TDI engine is shown on fig. 420 . Form of the chamber of combustion of the Omega type (kovsheobrazny). For removal of pistons it is necessary to dismantle the engine and a head of the block of cylinders.

After removal of a head of the block of cylinders pistons look how it is shown on fig. 422 . Each piston has larger dredging for the inlet valve, however, they not everything are located on one party. Deepenings on the piston for cylinders No. 1 and 2 are located closer to the party of a flywheel, deepening on pistons of cylinders No. 3 and 4 — is closer to the party of pulleys. For this reason new pistons have the labels put on them 1/2 or 3/4 that you knew, in what cylinders they can be established. If it is required to remove pistons, before it it is necessary to mark their situation, having put on them numbers of cylinders. The wrong installation of the piston can lead to engine damage.
