Removal of a transmission can be carried out without engine removal down. Removal of a transmission is necessary at repair or replacement of coupling or the transmission.
The transmission acts in film from the car bottom therefore the car needs to be lifted on the corresponding height. Irrespective of a way of a raising of the car surely substitute under a frame of the car of a support. Besides the automobile jack is required to prop up a transmission.
Removal of a transmission carry out in the following order:
- disconnect the plug from «–» AB conclusion (do not forget about a protective code of a radio tape recorder);
- for the present the car costs on wheels, unscrew a bolt of fastening of a nave of a forward left wheel and weaken all bolts of fastening of wheels on some turns;
- remove the case of the air filter;

- carefully wring out a screw-driver the first cable from the lever 1 (fig. 239) of a choice of transfers and the second cable from the lever of 2 inclusions of transfers;

- compress clamps (fig. 240) and take out both cables of gear shifting from fastening on a transmission;
- by means of a screw-driver remove a lock spring collar of fastening of the pipeline of the working cylinder of coupling and establish in openings of the pipeline of a cap;
- disconnect all pipelines conducting to a transmission;
- disconnect a shtekerny block of a lamp of a backing;
- turn out the top bolts of fastening of a transmission to the engine;

- unscrew nuts (fig. 241) of fastening of the right support of an engine mount;
- tie up a cable the engine to the lift and slightly raise the engine and a transmission by means of the lift. Watch, that the engine was well fixed;
- if it is established, remove the bottom casing of a motor compartment;
- disconnect wires from a starter and remove a starter;
- raise a forward part of the car, put the car on support and remove both lobbies of a wheel;
- unscrew a nut of the hinge of steering draft and wring out by means of the corresponding stripper a head of cross-section steering draft from a steering soshka. Remove drafts of a steering trapeze and tie up them by means of a wire to a body;

- unscrew two bolts (fig. 242) of fastening of the bearing lever of a suspension bracket to a rotary fist;
- unscrew nuts of connecting draft (connects the stabilizer of cross-section stability and an amortization rack);
- disconnect from fastening on an amortization rack a brake hose and if it is established, a cable of the sensor of frequency of rotation of ABS system;
- substitute under a transmission capacity for collecting oil which will follow at removal of the left power shaft;

- establish mount by a short push in the specified direction ( fig. 243 , it is shown by an arrow), shift the left power shaft from a transmission and take out a shaft from a wheel nave. To avoid an effluence of transmission oil from a transmission, insert into a transmission opening a sealing cap;
- take out the right power shaft from the intermediate, persistent bearing and tie up it above by means of a piece of a wire. Thus do not damage a color paint and varnish covering on driving to a shaft;
- unscrew two bolts of fastening of the average intermediate bearing from an arm on a case of the engine and take out it together with intermediate shaft from a transmission. If necessary wring out a shaft from a transmission;
- insert into an opening in a transmission a sealing cap;

- unscrew bolts of a nut of a balansirny (pendular) suspension bracket 1 (fig. 244) . The Balansirny suspension bracket can fasten at the basis one or three bolts and nuts;
- disconnect a shtekerny block from the sensor of speed of movement on a transmission (near an opening of a power shaft);
- unscrew fastening of a protective metal cover of a flywheel;

- turn out bolts 1 and 2 (fig. 245) of a suspension bracket of a transmission (once again check that the transmission is reliably fixed on the lift);
- shift the engine and a transmission as it is possible further to the right;

- incline the power unit to the left for access to arm fastening suspension bracket (fig. 246) on a transmission (the inclination of the power unit can be carried out by means of a jack) and unscrew fastening of an arm of a suspension bracket;
- prop up from below a transmission an automobile jack. It is very important, that the transmission was well fixed;
- turn out the bottom bolts of fastening of a transmission to the engine;
- wring out a transmission from directing plugs of the block of cylinders and carefully lower by means of an automobile jack. The transmission needs to be inclined a little that at its lowering not to be hooked for suspension bracket details.
