The system of greasing of the engine serves for supply of oil to all rubbing details of the engine at its work owing to what capacity losses on a friction between details decrease and wear of rubbing surfaces decreases. Besides, oil, passing between rubbing details of the engine, cools them and carries away wear products.

The oil pump shesterenchaty, is located in the lower part of a case and 7 (fig. 165) and a leading gear wheel of the 5th shaft of the 6th drive of the pump is put in action from an intermediate shaft of the engine by means of a gear wheel of an intermediate shaft.
The oil radiator to which hoses of system of cooling are attached, settles down on lateral face of the block of cylinders.
The oil filter on the VR6 engine folding also consists of the filter case in which the demountable filtering element is located. At oil replacement in the engine only 5,5 l of engine oil are filled in, from them 5,0 l of oil are in the engine and about 0,5 l — in the oil filter. At replacement of oil it is necessary to remember it, especially in case the filter is not replaced.
Oil from the case pallet is forced by the pump in the oil filter from which it moves in the trunk main located in the block of cylinders, from where oil is taken away on cross-section channels to bearings of cranked and distributive shaft and further to other points of greasing.
In the block of cylinders are located the valve for removal of oil and jets for greasing of the krivoshipno-shatunny mechanism. These are the unique parts of system of greasing of the engine which it is possible to replace, only having removed the engine from the car. It is possible to replace all other parts of system of greasing on the established engine.
Two-liter engine
The engine also is oiled, circulating under pressure.

The oil pump also shesterenchaty, is located in the lower part of a case and 14 (fig. 166) of a power shaft of the pump is put in action from an intermediate shaft of the engine by means of a gear wheel of an intermediate shaft and a gear wheel.
The oil radiator of liquid cooling is established between the basis 10 oil filters and the oil filter 13. At oil replacement in the engine 4,7 l of engine oil are filled in, from them 4,2 l of oil are in the engine and 0,5 l in the oil filter.
