Repair Sharan/Sharan Volkswagen>> System of greasing of the engine>> Removal and installation of the pallet of a case
The pallet of a case can be removed from the engine established on the car. Removal of the pallet of a case is carried out in the following order:

- unscrew a stopper 20 (see fig. 166 ) openings for plum of oil and completely merge from the engine engine oil in in advance prepared capacity;

To utilize old engine oil follows according to environmental protection rules.

- remove protection of a case of the engine;
- unscrew bolts of the 18th fastening and remove the pallet of a case 21 together with laying 22.

Note
On the 2,0-liter engine it is heavy to reach bolts of fastening of the oil pallet, located from a flywheel. On HUNDRED special keys for bolts 3249 and 3185 are for this purpose used.

Installation of the pallet of a case carry out to sequences, return to removal, thus observe the next moments:
- old laying of the pallet always replace with the new. Watch, that laying did not move at installation;
- before installation put on surfaces of contact of the oil pallet and the block of cylinders D2 hermetic;
- evenly cross-wise tighten bolts of fastening of the pallet of a case. Bolts with a six-sided head are tightened by the moment of 20 N · m (the engine of 2,0 l) or the moment of 15 N · m (VR6 engine);
- fill in in the engine of 5,5 l of engine oil if the oil filter acted in film;
- if the oil filter did not act in film, fill in 5,0 l of oil.
