The pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering should be removed during carrying out various works to get access to other details in the engine. The arrangement of the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering differs on the four-cylinder engine and on the VR6 engine therefore works are described separately. The car should be raised and established on support in order that it was simpler to reach separate details. At removal of the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering a small amount of hydraulic liquid will flow out.

Removal and installation of the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering on the car with the four-cylinder engine

In drawing 272 the arrangement of the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering is shown. At its dismantle remember, where bolts of various length were established.

At installation of the pump follow the instructions provided further:

- systematically replace sealing rings;

- never again fill in in hydraulic system the hydraulic liquid which has flowed out at removal of the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering;

- the basic surface of the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering and a carving should be pure;

- fill the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering with the recommended liquid. Turn the pump several times that oil was evenly distributed in it;

- put on the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering 1 (fig. 273) , with the established bolts 3 a rotary bracket of 2 fastenings. Tighten bolts 4. Establish on the pump of the hydraulic booster a pulley and tighten its bolts the specified moments of an inhaling;

- establish a bracket 1 (fig. 274) and the pump 2 by means of ekstsentrikovy bolts 3 on the holder 4. Twist an ekstsentrikovy bolt 3 in a rotary bracket 1 so that the carving plug concerned the holder 4. A bolt do not tighten. Turn, but do not tighten a bolt 5;

- attach the holder with the pump and a rotary bracket to an arm 5 (see fig. 271 ) and to the block of cylinders. Wrap on some turns bolts 1, 2 and 3, and then tighten the moment of 25 N · m;

- attach an adjusting bracket 7 bolts 6 to the block of cylinders. Establish an adjusting bolt 8 in a rotary bracket. Tighten bolts the 6th moment of 25 N · m;

- establish maple a belt and pull it;

- after installation of the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering check level of hydraulic liquid in a receiver (see item 12.3.1). After engine start level of liquid should not go down.

Removal and installation of the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering on the VR6 engine

The pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering established on the VR6 engine and way of its fastening are shown in drawing 275 . For its dismantle remove poliklinovy a belt (see подразд. 5.7). Order of performance of operations:

- disconnect AB;

- establish a forward part of the car on support;

- remove poliklinovy a belt;

- unscrew a hollow bolt 12 delivery pipelines and remove both sealing rings 11;

- weaken a collar of a hose of the vacuum pipeline and disconnect a hose from the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering;

- fix a pulley of the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering in motionless situation and remove a pulley;

- unscrew bolts of fastening of the pump (fig. 276) and remove the pump;

- fill the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering with the recommended liquid. Turn the pump several times that oil was evenly distributed in it;

- wrap three bolts on the right side and two on the left side (see fig. 276 ). Moment of an inhaling of bolts of 25 N · m;

- put on a pulley, fix it in motionless situation and wrap 3 bolts with an internal six-sided head the moment of 25 N · m;

- weaken pressure of the device of a tension of a belt (fig. 277) , lay a belt on pulleys and remove a bolt;

- attach hoses to the pump (see fig. 275 ). Wrap a hollow bolt 12 with new sealing rings (the moment of an inhaling of 30 N · м). Put on a hose 13 the union and put on it a collar 9;

- other works are carried out to sequences, return to removal process. Fill in in the hydraulic booster of a steering hydraulic liquid and remove from system (item 12.3.1) air. Make a trial trip on small speed and check operation of the hydraulic booster.
