The fuel level sensor includes a float and a potentiometer. With fall of level of fuel the float falls, thus a potentiometer connected with a float, increases electric resistance of the sensor. Therefore tension falls, and the arrow of the index of level of fuel moves in the leer direction (is empty).

Sensor 30 removal (see fig. 206 ) level of fuel is carried out as well as removal of the fuel pump until the flange 12 will be removed. Then a hand pull out from a fuel tank the sensor, having pressed its lock latch.
At installation of a flange pay attention to correctness of its arrangement.
