The system of ignition of the petrol engine is intended for ignition of gas mixture in chambers of combustion of cylinders.

At the 2,0-liter engine ignition system (fig. 210) is included into the incorporated system of injection and Simos ignition, and at the VR6 engine ignition system (fig. 211) is included into the incorporated system Motronic.
Association of system of injection and ignition in uniform electronic system has the following advantages:
- combination of functions of units and sensors allows to reduce their number;
- processes of ignition and a smeseobrazovaniye are optimized in common, characteristics of a torque, fuel consumption, OG structure thus improve, start-up and warming up of the cold engine is facilitated;
- great opportunities for performance of other functions open:
- management of an automatic transmission;
- management of protivobuksovochny system;
- management of anti-blocking brake system;
- management of the conditioner, anti-theft device, etc.
Systems of ignition have no mobile details and consequently do not demand service. They have no adjustments as management of ignition completely electronic and is carried out to EBU using information on power setting, received from sensors of a control system by the engine.
