The main part of system of start-up is the electric motor of a direct current — a starter fed from AB. The starter consists of the electric motor, the mechanism of a drive and the traction relay. Inclusion of a starter is carried out by contacts of its traction relay which enters into gearing a gear wheel of a starter and with a gear wreath of a flywheel, and also provides inclusion of a starterny chain at the closed contacts of the switch. The mechanism of a drive transfers a torque from a starter shaft to a flywheel through a tooth gearing and after the beginning of operation of the engine prevents torque transfer from a flywheel on a starter shaft. The starter is the most powerful consumer of electric energy on the car.

Possible malfunctions, their reasons and elimination methods
