Radiator remove together with the electrofan. Removal of a radiator is a laborious work so it is necessary to remove rather large number of details before, it will be possible to reach the radiator.

For removal of a radiator or the engine of the fan it is necessary to disconnect the storage battery as at the included ignition of a wire of the fan are energized.

Order of removal of a radiator:

- merge cooling liquid from cooling system (see item 19.1.1), the bottom hose of cooling liquid back do not attach. Uncover a broad tank in order that cooling liquid followed better;

- remove a front bumper (fig. 462) ;

- remove a front grille;

- remove both lobbies of a headlight. Places of fastening of headlights are shown on fig. 463 . Separate a shtekerny block from a reverse side of headlights;

- remove fastenings of pipelines (fig. 464) if on the car washers of headlights are established;

- remove a front bumper (fig. 465) . Wrap a hand bolts to fix a forward spoiler;

- disconnect the top hose from a radiator;

- disconnect a hose of a radiator of forced air. For this purpose separate a shtekerny block and remove a hose collar;

- put a forward part of the car on support;

- separate a shtekerny block of a thermoswitch of the fan of a radiator and separate a shtekerny block of the switch of operating modes of the fan;

- disconnect hoses from a radiator of forced air (fig. 466) . Remove the right hose;

- remove a radiator of forced air (it is located from below an engine radiator);

- remove the fan and a fan casing (from each party on two bolts) and take out everything together in the direction down;

Prevention At works do not damage a radiator cell.

- unscrew bolts of fastening of a radiator (on 2 bolts on each party of a radiator). Carefully remove a radiator in the direction down;

- in case of need remove a casing of a radiator and the fan engine from a casing.

Installation of a radiator is carried out in return sequence concerning removal process. If you again establish an old radiator, previously carefully clear it. For carrying out cleaning remove a radiator casing (under it there are all insects who have got on a radiator). Remove the large particles which have got to cells of a radiator by a stream of water under a pressure.

Prevention Very strong pressure of water can damage radiator cells.

Do not use metal subjects for removal of pollution from a radiator.

If at plum of cooling liquid you noticed that cooling liquid has dark color, wash out a radiator or all system of cooling by flowing water. It is easy for making, if the radiator is removed. Order of performance of operations:

- establish a radiator, without connecting the bottom hose of cooling liquid;

- insert into a broad tank a garden hose and start up water. Look behind a condition of water following from below. Washing can be stopped, as soon as pure water will start to leave. After carrying out washing again merge all water from system of cooling and fill in in it cooling liquid as it was described in item 19.1.1.
