The drive of camshafts is carried out not directly, and through a gear of an intermediate shaft 1 (fig. 91) .
Besides on intermediate to a shaft the small asterisk 10 which puts in action a dvukhryadny chain of the 9th drive of camshafts settles down also. On the VR6 engine the asterisk 13 on the forward end of the cranked shaft, putting in action a single-row chain 14, is fixed (acts in film together with cranked shaft).
The dvukhryadny chain set a tension, a drive of camshafts, it is carried out by the lamellar tension device of a chain (natyazhitel) 8 which is regulated by means of the tension of a chain inserted outside of an adjusting bolt. The single-row chain between an asterisk 13 cranked shaft and an intermediate asterisk 11 also has the tension device 12 which is regulated in the hydraulic way and does not demand any additional intervention. It is necessary to remember that the tension device of a chain has the blocking adaptation which is necessary for unblocking before changing the tension device of a chain. The Dvukhryadny chain of a drive nestles outside inside at the expense of an uspokoitel 18 that prevents possibility of blow of a chain of a drive on camshafts. The single-row chain too nestles an uspokoitel 12, but the chain nestles from within outside. For fastening of uspokoitel bolts and special fingers are used.
