The final collector 2 (fig. 100) consists of two parts and there is two separate laying 7. The union 10 is twisted in a collector for connection of system of a retsirkulyatsiya of the fulfilled gases (EGR).
The final collector can be removed after the screen of thermal protection 5 will be removed and both receptions of a pipe 8 are disconnected.
Installation of a final collector is carried out as it should be, the return to removal, thus observe the following recommendations:
- always change laying between the engine and a final collector. At installation of new laying watch that it was established in the correct situation;
- always replace being self-stopped nuts of 4 fastenings of a final collector to the engine. Them it is necessary to tighten the moment of 40 N · m;
- replace laying 7 between reception pipes and half of a final collector. The nuts connecting a final collector and reception pipes, are being self-stopped and consequently they should be changed always. Tighten nuts the moment of 40 N · m.

The catalyst 4 (fig. 101) is established after a reception pipe. It looks as the "bulked-up" exhaust silencer and consists of a large number of metal or ceramic honeycombs which are covered with platinum or similar metals. Through these honeycombs pass fulfilled gases. Platinum accelerates chemical reaction at which a harmful gaseous waste turns into harmless gases. Established in front of the catalyst the lambda probe 11 constantly measures the amount of the SO harmful gas containing in fulfilled gases, and hands over EBU information, in the form of electric signals on the basis of which demanded adjustment is carried out, that is there is a change of composition of gas mixture.
