2,0-liter engine

Removal of a radiator carry out in the following order:

- disconnect the plug «–» from AB as at the included ignition of a wire of the electrofan are energized;

- merge cooling liquid from cooling system (see item 5.1.1). That cooling liquid followed quicker, uncover a broad tank;

- disconnect from a radiator all air hoses;

- disconnect wires from conclusions of the temperature switch of the fan and the fan motor;

- weaken clips top and bottom (fig. 187) of a hose of cooling liquid. Disconnect hoses from a radiator and take them aside, without bending them thus;

- disconnect a hose connecting radiator and a broad tank;

Note Hoses fasten by means of spring clips. For removal of clips it is necessary to use special nippers at number 798-5, and at installation it is possible to use, as a last resort, screw clips if there are no nippers for installation of spring clips.

- remove a front bumper, a cross-section basic beam and a front grille;

- turn out bolts 4 (see fig. 182 ), located on each side a radiator and take a radiator 1 in the direction down. Thus watch to damaging a radiator cell;

- in case of need disconnect a casing 2 from a radiator and the fan 8 motor from a casing.

Installation of a radiator carry out as it should be, the return to removal. Then fill in cooling liquid in cooling system (see item 5.1.1).

VR6 engine

Removal of a radiator from the car equipped with the VR6 engine, is carried out as well as from the 2,0-liter engine. However pay attention to the next moments:

- in the presence of the conditioner remove maple a belt of its drive. Unscrew the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering and leave hoses to hang on one party;

- remove the conditioner compressor but so that pipelines did not open;

Note Further actions are identical to all updatings of the engine.

- disconnect wires from the temperature switch of the motor of the fan and the additional air pump;

- disconnect from the pump inlet hoses and pressure head sleeves;

- unscrew bolts of a tightening ring of the fan and remove a ring with the fan and the additional air pump;

- in the presence of the conditioner remove clips of cooling hoses. Remove a conditioner radiator from a radiator and nominate him as it is possible further forward;

- remove a radiator as well as from the 2,0-liter engine. A radiator take out in the direction down.

Prevention At extraction of a radiator try not to hit it about other details of the car to avoid damage of cells of a radiator (it can lead to a radiator leak).

Installation of a radiator carry out to sequences, return to removal.

Note At installation it is necessary to replace spring clips on screw, otherwise it is necessary to use special nippers for their installation.
