When dismantling the oil pump it is necessary to be guided fig. 452 .
Turn out from a pump cover two short bolts.
Uncover together with a maslopriyemny pipe.
Take out from the pump case a cogwheel with shaft and a cogwheel without a shaft. It is possible to pull out and a power shaft.
Unscrew both bolts of a grid of a maslopriyemny pipe from a cover of the pump and remove the sealing ring located in the center of a pipe. Carefully clear all details before to start check of their condition.
Check the case of the oil pump on deformation. If the locations of bearings are worn-out, replace the case of the oil pump as it leads to pressure loss.

Check degree of wear of cogwheels, for this purpose insert between a teeth щуп (fig. 454) and measure a radial gap. An admissible gap 0,05 — 0,20 mm. If the gap exceeds admissible, replace gear wheels, and if necessary all pump.

- Shchupy and a steel ruler or a corner measure an axial gap in the oil pump (fig. 455) . Admissible size of an axial gap 0,06 — 0,15 mm.
Check, whether in the pump case the shaft of a leading gear wheel densely sits. If it dangles, replace the pump case.
If you found damage or wear of a teeth, replace gear wheels in pair. As a rule, wear tracks on a lateral surface of a teeth look as the polished brilliant surface.
At assembly of the oil pump watch that surfaces of the pump were absolutely pure. Before assembly oil all parts. Especially pay attention to greasing of cogwheels that they did not receive the tease and damage at the first start of the engine. Before establishing the pump, be convinced that cogwheels rotate easily, without jammings.
At the first start-up of the engine do not maintain it at once on high turns in order that the oil pump was well earned extra.
