At the coil of ignition resistance of a winding is checked, whether there is no short circuit between windings and isolation breakdown on "weight". Isolation breakdown on "weight" is found on прогару or to smelting of a plastic cover of the coil of ignition. Measurement of resistance of a winding of the coil of ignition carry out an ohmmeter.

Check of the coil of ignition carry out in the following order.

2,0 liter engine:

- switch off ignition and disconnect a high-voltage wire from the transformer of a high voltage;

- connect an ohmmeter between plugs "1" (plus) and «15» (minus) (fig. 215) and measure resistance of primary winding which should make 0,5 — 1,2 Ohm;

- connect an ohmmeter between plugs "15" and "4" (the central cable) and measure resistance of a secondary winding which should make 3 — 4 kiloohms;

- if resistance does not correspond to the specified sizes, it is necessary to establish the new transformer of a high voltage.

VR6 engine
