The Hall sensor on the VR6 engine is located in a forward part of a head of the block of cylinders. At normal work engine electronics on the basis of a signal from the sensor of the Hall defines the ignition moment for the first cylinder. If the signal is not received, in cylinders detonation regulation cannot be carried out. In this case detonation regulation is switched off and the moment of ignition is exposed with some delay to avoid a detonation.
Check of the sensor of the Hall carry out as follows.
VR6 engine:
- disconnect VN wires from the transformer of a high voltage and remove VN directing wires from the transformer;

- disconnect a shtekerny block ( fig. 216 , it is shown by an arrow) Hall sensor;

- connect the voltmeter to the plug "1" and to the plug "3" (fig. 217) of a shtekerny block of the sensor of the Hall. Tension should make at least 11,5 In;
- if it not so, address on HUNDRED.
2,0-liter engine:

- disconnect a shtekerny block 6 (see fig. 210 ) from the distributor of ignition 8;

- connect the voltmeter between external plugs of a shtekerny block (fig. 218) . Tension should make at least 10,0 In;
- if it not so, address on HUNDRED.
