The forward and back epiploon of a cranked shaft should be changed at each removal of a cranked shaft or an epiploon flange. If you are guided by the provided instructions, you will not need the special tool for removal or installation of epiploons of a cranked shaft.
Both epiploons can be replaced on the established engine if you noticed traces of the flowed-out oil near them. Besides, to a leakage of an epiploon of a cranked shaft can point also sliping coupling. In the worst case oil spots in a forward part of the engine can conduct to a proskalzyvaniye of a driving belt of auxiliary units that can become the reason, for example, losses of charging capacity by the generator.
Removal of a forward epiploon
To have access to a forward epiploon of a cranked shaft it is necessary to remove poliklinovy a belt as it was described in item 17.4.1.
To unscrew a bolt of a pulley of a cranked shaft include the fifth transfer and tighten the lever of the parking brake. After that unscrew a bolt.

At removal of a forward epiploon it is possible to be guided by the description of removal of an epiploon of a camshaft. The lever intended for removal of an epiploon of a camshaft (see fig. 438 ) can be used.
Removal of a back epiploon
To get access to a back epiploon of a cranked shaft it is necessary to remove a transmission, coupling and a flywheel. For removal of a back epiploon we suggest to unscrew a flange of an epiploon and after that to replace an epiploon. For this reason it is necessary to unscrew also an intermediate plate of the engine and an oil case.
Unscrew six bolts of a flange of an epiploon from a case and remove a flange together with an epiploon.
Beat out an epiploon from a flange.
Installation of a forward epiploon
On the removed engine
Put greasing on a working edge of an epiploon and it is careful впрессуйте an epiploon from within outside in a flange so that the external surface of an epiploon appeared aflush.
Carefully put on a flange with laying through a cranked shaft the block of cylinders and well center it. Tighten bolts evenly around the moment of 10 N · m.
On the established engine
For a forward epiploon of a cranked shaft it is possible to get the special adaptation for its press fitting. This adaptation represents a piece of a pipe which is put on outer side of an epiploon. After that by means of a bolt of a pulley of a cranked shaft the epiploon can be pressed in the case case. Carefully grease the internal and external parties of an epiploon and put an epiploon to a case. Now carefully draw a bolt, pressing thus an epiploon.
Installation of a back epiploon
Put greasing on a working surface of an epiploon and it is careful впрессуйте it in a flange so that the external surface of an epiploon appeared aflush.
Carefully put on a flange with laying through a cranked shaft the block of cylinders and well center it. Tighten bolts evenly around the moment of 10 N · m.
