Repair Sharan/Sharan Volkswagen>> Introduction>> New VW Sharan
The real management is a grant on car repairs of VW Sharan and Fords Galaxy which are issued since February, 1995 as a result of collaboration of the Volkswagen and Ford companies. The technical aspect of the project and development of design documentation were carried out by the Volkswagen company, and construction of new assembly plant in Palmel, located near Lisbon in Portugal, adjustment of production and ensuring assembly were executed by the Ford company.

Sharan is issued in three options of execution — CL, GL and Carat. The VR6 engine — the checked 6-cylinder engine in capacity of 174 h.p. is equipped with an electronic control system and fuel injection «Bosh Motronic M 3.8.1.» from Golf. This updating with a mechanical transmission was dispersed for 11,8 with to 100 km/h and for 13,2 with — with an automatic transmission. According to factory data, the maximum speed made 200 km/h — with a mechanical transmission and 195 km/h — with an automatic transmission.
The independent suspension bracket of Sharan and Galaxy originates from VW Passat suspension bracket. Forward and back suspension brackets are established on stretchers which by means of special rubber support fasten to a body, thereby practically excepting transfer of noise to salon.
The forward suspension bracket consists of the bottom cross-section lever and an amortization rack with a dlinnokhodny spring and telescopic gas-filled shock-absorbers. The stabilizer of cross-section stability reducing a lateral list of the car at passing of turns enters into a design of a forward suspension bracket.
The back suspension bracket consists of the diagonal lever, a screw spring, gas-filled shock-absorbers and the stabilizer of cross-section stability.
The brake system consists of two hydraulic contours operating on a diagonals, with the hydraulic booster. All updatings of Sharan are equipped with disk brakes from ATE, on all four wheels and anti-blocking system (ABS) from Teves.
