At installation of a new belt it is possible to do without the put marks (see п 3.7.3). At installation of a gear driving belt any of pistons should not be in situation VMT, differently valves can strike on pistons. Put on a gear belt gear pulleys of cranked, distributive and intermediate shaft. At installation of a gear belt avoid its sharp excesses. Adjust a tension of a gear driving belt as follows:

- a wrench turn a shestigrannik of a tension roller in the direction shown on fig. 150 , thereby pulling a gear belt;
- check a tension of a gear belt: it is considered normal if in an average part of a branch between pulleys of distributive and cranked shaft the belt twists on 90 ° (see fig. 150 );
- tighten a nut of fastening of an axis of a tension roller the moment of 45 N · m;
- turn a cranked shaft on two complete revolutions and be convinced that the tension of a belt did not change;
- establish the top and bottom parts of a protective cover of a gear belt and belt pulleys;
- adjust a tension of a poliklinovy belt (see подразд. 3.8);

- turn by hand and finally tighten bolts 1 and 2 (fig. 151) of fastening of a support of an engine mount the next moments:
  - bolt       of 1 55 N · m;
  - bolt       of 2 20 N · m;
- avoid an excessive tension of a gear belt as it considerably reduces term of its service;
- establish a cogwheel (if it acted in film), wrap a fastening bolt (previously having greased it), tighten the moment of 90 N · m then tighten a bolt for 90 °. The engine should be thus fixed in a motionless condition.

Note
At installation of a cogwheel of a cranked shaft the bolt of its fastening should be surely replaced with the new.
