Repair Sharan/Sharan Volkswagen>> Two-liter engine (ADY)>> Drive of the mechanism of a gazoraspredeleniye>> Ignition installation
Installation of ignition is necessary for the correct connection of the distributor with a drive from the engine and with spark plugs in order that the spark in cylinders of the engine moved during the necessary moments. Installation of ignition is carried out before putting on of a gear belt, and also in case of its wrong installation or slipping of a gear belt (the belt jumped through tooth).
Installation of ignition carry out in the following order:
- turn out spark plugs;
- put on a gear belt cogwheels of a camshaft, a cranked shaft and an intermediate shaft (the provision of cogwheels yet does not play any role);
- temporarily establish a pulley of a cranked shaft on a cogwheel of a cranked shaft (a protective cover it is not necessary to establish), thus pay attention to coincidence of labels on a pulley and a cogwheel;
- turn the engine (by means of a key of the cogwheel of a cranked shaft dressed on a bolt), the corresponding labels will not coincide yet. Thus it is necessary to pay attention to the next two moments:

Fig. 152. Adjustment of provision of a cranked shaft on the established engine: 1 — with a mechanical transmission; 2 — with an automatic transmission

- if the engine is established on the car, it should be turned until a label 1 (fig. 152) on a flywheel (for a mechanical transmission) or a label 2 on a driving pulley (for an automatic transmission) will not appear in situation (see fig. 152 );

Fig. 153. The flute position on a quencher of fluctuations is shown by an arrow

- if the engine is removed from the car, turn a cranked shaft of the engine until the flute on a quencher of fluctuations will not be established in situation shown on fig. 153 ;
- adjust the provision of an intermediate shaft (at even loose gear belt), for what:
- uncover the ignition distributor to see the provision of a rotor;

Fig. 154. The direction of rotation of a cogwheel of an intermediate shaft is shown by shooters

Fig. 155. The provision of a rotor of the distributor of ignition at ignition installation

- turn a cogwheel of an intermediate shaft in the direction shown by shooters (fig. 154) so that the rotor of the distributor of ignition occupied situation shown on fig. 155 .
- put on a gear belt. Now the first cylinder of the engine is in the provision VMT of the end of a step of compression and in the ignition moment;

Fig. 127. Arrangement of a label of VMT

- check, whether labels on a camshaft gear wheel (see fig. 127 ) coincided;
- again remove a pulley of a cranked shaft;
- pull a gear belt (see item 3.7.2).
