Pistons and rods are beaten out from the block of cylinders in the direction up by the hammer handle, after removal of covers and loose leaves of shatunny bearings.

Put on each piston and a rod relating to it that number of the cylinder from which they were removed. It is better to make all this, having put cylinder number in color on a piston bottom. Draw at the bottom of the piston an arrow indicating to a forward part of the engine. As the piston can be put on the contrary, i.e. is turned on 180 °, it is necessary to adhere fig. 422 .

At piston removal with a rod observe the exact direction of installation of a cover of a rod and right after removal put on a rod and a rod cover sideways cylinder number. It is better to do all this by a center punch (for example, for the cylinder No. 1 — one blow a center punch etc.). Rods and covers of a rod should be incorporated so that both cast ledges were located opposite to each other (fig. 423) . Both ledges after installation of rods should be always located from an intermediate shaft, and point to that party of the engine where the driving belt is located.
On one party pistons have cut for nozzles of oil cooling to prevent collision of nozzles and pistons in the bottom dead point. Pistons should be established by this party to nozzles.
After removal of covers of bearings of rods replace shatunny bolts.
Mark bearing loose leaves according to a rod and a rod cover. Also mark with a marker the top and bottom loose leaves of the bearing on their back party.
Remove covers of shatunny bearings and loose leaves.
Beat out pistons and rods the handle of a plastic hammer from within the block of cylinders outside. In case of need scratch out a scraper an oil deposit on the top part of the cylinder, however be careful not to damage thus a cylinder surface.

Remove safety collars and squeeze out piston fingers. Dredging in an opening for a piston finger facilitates tool use so you easily remove safety collars (fig. 424) . Squeeze out a finger a suitable opravka.

In turn remove through the piston bottom piston rings by means of a stripper (fig. 425) . If you plan to establish again rings, they should be marked as appropriate. If you have no stripper for piston rings, you can insert under rings of a strip of metal the friend opposite to the friend. One of strips surely enclose under the lock of a ring to avoid emergence of scratches (fig. 426) .
