If nozzles of cooling of the piston were removed, again establish them and tighten bolts the moment of 10 N · m.
Plentifully grease openings of cylinders.
Lay out all rods according to numbers of cylinders. Cast ledges on a rod and a cover of a rod should be directed towards an intermediate shaft.

Lay out all pistons according to order of their installation (see fig. 422 ).
Distribute locks of piston rings on a cylinder surface so that they were located relatively each other at an angle in 120 °.

Put on an opravka for piston installation with rings in the cylinder area of an arrangement of piston rings (fig. 431) and press piston rings into piston grooves. Check, that piston rings completely entered into the grooves. If you have no special opravka, you can use a thin metal strip which wrap up round piston rings and compress so that rings came into grooves on the piston.
Turn a cranked shaft so that two shatunny necks of a cranked shaft appeared in NMT.
Insert a rod from above into a cylinder opening. For this purpose put the engine sideways so that the rod could be directed on a radical neck, and the surface of the cylinder and a rod neck thus were not scratched. The loose leaf of the bearing of a rod already should be in a rod a ledge in dredging.
Insert pistons so that rings in turn entered into openings of cylinders and the heel of a rod sat down on a shatunny neck of a cranked shaft.
Insert the second loose leaf of the bearing into a bearing cover so that the loose leaf of the bearing sat down in a groove of a cover of the bearing, and well grease surfaces of loose leaves. Press a rod cover to a rod and easily knock on it.

Be convinced of that both cast ledges are located together.

The inhaling of bolts of shatunny bearings occurs according to a certain scheme. As it was already told bolts always change for the new. Alternately tighten bolts of the bearing of a rod (fig. 432) the moment of 30 N · m and then turn them from final situation for 90 ° (on a turn quarter), without using thus a dinamometrichesky key.

At measurement of an axial gap of shatunny bearings use old bolts of fastening of shatunny bearings as when using new bolts for this purpose they cannot be twisted in the second time.

After installation of a rod turn a cranked shaft several times at once to be convinced that it rotates easily, without jammings.
Check marking marks of all rods once again and be convinced that pistons specify in the correct direction. Be convinced also that dredging for oil nozzles is located on the correct party.

With the help щупа measure a gap between the lateral planes of a rod and a surface of a cranked shaft (fig. 433) — the axial gap of bearings of a rod should not exceed 0,37 mm.
