Check a cranked shaft, carrying out the following operations:
- examine a cranked shaft. Cracks in any place of a cranked shaft are not allowed. On the surfaces interfaced to working edges of consolidations, scratches, забоины and risks are not allowed;
- make exact measurements of necks of radical and shatunny bearings. At their repair it is possible перешлифовывать to three times with reduction of diameter. After that repair loose leaves of the increased thickness are established;
- clamp a cranked shaft between holders of the lathe (or establish extreme radical necks on two prisms) and check the indicator palpation on a radical neck of an average support. Palpation should not exceed 0,06 mm, otherwise it is necessary to replace a shaft;
- measure gaps in radical and shatunny bearings, for what:

- carefully clear working surfaces of loose leaves and the corresponding neck and put a piece of a plastic wire on a neck surface (fig. 83) ;
- establish on a neck a rod with a cover or a cover of the radical bearing, depending on a type of a checked neck, and tighten nuts or fastening bolts. Nuts of shatunny bolts tighten the moment of 30 N · m, and bolts of fastening of covers of radical bearings the moment of 30 N · m;

- uncover and on a scale of the measuring ruler entering into a set of Plastigage on flattening, in the widest place of a plastic wire (fig. 84) , define gap size;
- if less limiting, these loose leaves it is possible to use a gap again. At a gap, bigger 0,1 mm, replace on these necks loose leaves new. If necks of a cranked shaft are worn-out and are ground till the repair size, loose leaves replace repair (the increased thickness).
