Pressure of air in tires is checked by a manometer and if necessary pumped up by the small electric pump which is connected to the lighter socket. Pressure is necessary for checking always on cold tires as during driving the tire is warmed up. In warm tires pressure of air can appear higher on 20 — 30 kPas. At all do not lower thus pressure in tires.
Pressure size in cold tires, at normal loading the following:
- for tires of the R15Т size 195/65:
 the forward — 260 kPas
 the back — 240 kPas
- for tires of the R15H size 215/60:
 the forward — 230 kPas
 the back — 210 kPas
Pressure in tires should be checked regularly — every month. If pressure in tires falls for 1,5 % month, this normal phenomenon, at bigger size it is necessary to establish the reason. Probably, leakage of air occurs through a gate zolotnik. If pressure of air in the tire constantly falls at a serviceable zolotnik, that, using special hermetic, repair the tire. Skill and knowledge are necessary for installation of tires special to avoid damages of a board of a tire (violation of tightness of the tire). Therefore installation of tires is recommended to be carried out on HUNDRED which have for these purposes the necessary equipment. After installation of tires follows отбалансировать wheels.

After a certain run it is necessary to check residual depth of a profile of the tire. Producers of tires made for this purpose the small special tool 9 (see fig. 6 ) — a measuring instrument of depth of a profile of the tire which is established on the tire, as is shown in fig. 11 . Being based on its indications, it is possible to learn residual height of drawing of a protector which according to Traffic regulations should not be less, than 1,6 mm.
